Nourishing Lives: Food Drive at Bindal Bridge Basti

On 7th July 2025, SRSHTI organized a compassionate Food Drive at Bindal Bridge
Basti, Dehradun — a densely populated area where many families live in vulnerable
conditions, struggling daily for basic needs like food, shelter, and healthcare. With the
belief that no one should go to bed hungry, our team stepped in to serve nutritious
meals to those in need.

Throughout the day, over 300–400 individuals — including children, elderly, daily
wage earners, and migrant families — were served warm, wholesome meals. The
food was carefully prepared to provide not just satiety but balanced nutrition,
including grains, vegetables, and proteins, keeping in mind the dietary needs of all
age groups.

This drive was more than a distribution of food — it was an effort to bring dignity,
connection, and care into the lives of people who are often overlooked. For many,
this meal was their first of the day. For us, it was a reminder that small acts of
kindness can leave a deep impact.

The smiles, the blessings, and the shared conversations reminded us why we do what
we do. At SRSHTI, we believe that true change begins on the ground — and no act of
service is too small when it touches a life.

We remain committed to continuing these food drives regularly, ensuring that hope
is served hot and fresh — one meal, one person, one day at a time.
